RidRed Packaging Policy

At RidRed, packaging your product properly is essential—not just for safety, but also to ensure you receive your item in perfect condition. Because RidRed handles its own packing and shipping, our packaging policy reflects high standards to protect the product and the environment.

Packaging Standards

Rigid, Protective Packaging
All RidRed products must be shipped in strong boxes with six sides.

Boxes must have secure openings or lids that do not open accidentally.
Packages should not collapse under moderate pressure on any of their sides.
Size & Label Requirements
Minimum external dimensions for boxes: roughly 6” × 4” × 1” (or equivalent metric size), to accommodate shipping labels.
For flexible packaging (mailers, poly-bags, etc.), the packaging must meet acceptable maximum dimensions and weight limits to ensure handling and transport safety.
Protection Inside Packaging
Products must be cushioned inside the box using padding materials such as bubble wrap, kraft paper, air pillows, or eco-friendly foam, especially for fragile components like wheels, stems, or bearings.
The product should be well secured so it does not move around during shipping.
Material & Seal Integrity
Packaging materials should be durable and, where possible, recyclable or made from recycled content.

Sealing should be strong (using tape or glue that won’t fail in shipping). Staples or gaps are to be avoided.
Labeling should include a visible, scannable product identifier (barcode or SKU) on the outside.
Sustainable & Efficient Packaging

RidRed aims to minimize excessive packaging — no overly large boxes when a smaller box with proper cushioning will suffice.

Use of recyclable materials is preferred. Packaging design should avoid unnecessary plastic, and protective fillers should be environmentally responsible.

Special Handling

If a product is fragile or has delicate parts (e.g. bearings, polyurethane wheels), additional internal protection must be added.
For products shipped outdoors or exposed to variable weather during transit, waterproof or moisture-resistant packaging layers should be included.
Products that ship in sets (e.g. multiple casters in a pack) must be clearly labeled as a set.

Inspection & Quality Control

Before shipping, the packaged product undergoes inspection to ensure:

Packaging is intact with no visible damage;
The product is firmly secured inside;
Labels and barcodes are legible;
Packaging meets RidRed’s size, seal, and protection requirements.

What to Do If Your Package Arrives Damaged

If you receive a RidRed product and the packaging appears damaged, or the item is compromised:

Take photos of the exterior packaging and the product itself;
Contact RidRed Customer Support within 7 days of delivery;
Save all packaging materials and the item until inspection is complete.
